Black Salt, also known as Himalayan Black salt, is a light and dark pinkish salt that has trace amounts of sulfur compounds. As a result, the salt has an umami, almost eggy flavor and is great to add to vegetable, rice, raw fruit and vegetable salads, and potatoes  or to use to replicate egg flavor in vegan dishes.
