Green Cardamom has a floral aroma and a sweet and spicy flavor. Cardamom is used in a variety of cuisines in both sweet and savory dishes. Add a few pods to a pot of rice, steep in milk to make custard, add to curries with cumin and chiles, or pop a pod in your mouth for a breath freshener.
When kept whole, pods can last up to three years. Grind or crush as needed or use whole and remove before eating.
