Asafoetida, commonly known as hing, is a plant resin used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. It's uncooked form has a strong, pungent smell but once add to heat and fat like ghee or oil, hing takes on an onion, garlic like flavor. Add a pinch to pickles, vegetables dishes, and lentils.
Our hing is packed in cork top bottles; each bottle holds 10 grams.
