Spice up the Holidays
Add Chinese 5 Spice in the last five minutes of simmering your cranberry sauce. The spices pair well with orange and balance the tartness of the cranberries. We used 1 tsp of Chinese Five Spice for 12 oz of fresh cranberries.
Use 1 tsp of Piri Piri for every 2 Tablespoons of Maple syrup and 8 slices of bacon. Coat and cut the bacon in 1 inch pieces. Add in the last 5 minutes of roasting brussels sprouts, tossing to coat in the spiced maple syrup. Not a fan of bacon? Swap it for pecans!
Soak fresh cranberries in maple syrup, then roll into sugar before air drying on a rack or plate. This time, we've used maple sugar but you can use our Vanilla or Cinnamon Orange Sugar. Use to garnish drinks, like this cold brewed Spiced Rosehip. Top off with rum or seltzer.
Pulse Dukkah with crispy shallots and sprinkle over green beans to add crunch and flavor.
Brush Shichimi Togarashi onto Hasselback sweet potatoes before roasting for a spicy, citrus, crunchy crust. For every 2 sweet potatoes, we stirred 1 tsp of the Togarashi into 1 Tablespoon each melted butter and oil.
