Jaggery, Organic

Jaggery is made from concentrated sugarcane juice, retaining more minerals and vitamins than refined sugar. It is not crystallized like many sugars, giving it a softer texture. Jaggery is used often in sweet and savory dishes in India and across Asia and is similar to panela. 

Jaggery can vary in color and texture and should not be stored in an airtight container to prevent moisture from building up. Do not store in the refrigerator. Jaggery may become soft and liquidy - this is natural and does not indicate that the jaggery has gone bad.
