Za'atar Herb

Za'atar, also known as Syrian Oregano, is an herb unto itself. It has a strong aroma and pungent flavor, reminiscent of oregano and thyme. It is savory flavor and works both in simmering dishes or just sprinkled on top as a finishing spices. Add to oils, sprinkle on top of salads, combine with fresh tomatoes, or steep as an herbal tea. 

Za'atar is also the name of a blend of spices where an herb is combined with sumac and sesame. We offer two Za'atars - one made with Za'atar and our original blend made with thyme.
