While not technically a grain, these seeds are eaten as one, mixed with other grains or eaten on their own, added to sauces or stews to thicken, or crunched on as a snack. Packed with nutrients, amaranth is a favorite of many, going as far back as the Aztecs.
Cooking Suggestion
RInse Amaranth. Bring 4x water as amaranth you are planning to cook. Bring to a boil, then add amaranth. Stir frequently and let simmer 10-20 minutes.
