Nutmeg is spicy and sweet and therefore lends itself to savory and sweet dishes. Add to bechamel, gratins, squash purees, and sautéed greens like spinach or swiss chard. Use with game dishes like a lamb curry. Nutmeg complements allspice, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, and cardamom. You’ll find it in pumpkin and apple pies, egg nogs, bourbon cocktails, and spiced cakes.

One ounce of whole nutmeg is approximately 6 - 7 nutmegs. One ounce of ground nutmeg is approximately 3 - 4 Tablespoons.

If you would like individual 1 oz bags, please add a note to your order at check out. All of our zipper bags can be composted at home.
