This tea is made from the more mature leaves of the tea plant, picked in the summer, sun-dried, steamed, and then shaped into small bowls. They retain moisture so that natural fermentation occurs and darkens the leaves. This style of pu’er is called Wo-dui style or cooked leaf style. This tea makes an earthy brew with some fruit sweetness, pairs well with oily, savory foods, and can brew nicely overnight in a vacuum thermos.
Flavor Notes: Smooth, ripe fruit sweetness. Very earthy aroma.
