Rather than chewing on gum or popping a mint in your mouth, why not try a spice? In many cultures, you’ll find people prefer chewing on spices after a meal to refresh and have a clean feeling - from fennel seeds in Indian homes offered to guests after dinner, to bottle of cloves in bathrooms in Istanbul, and bags of cardamom carried in Guatemala. Try with small amounts at first, a few fennel seeds an half a clove. And make sure to spit out the cardamom husk!
